Beautiful Demoiselle Calopteryx virgo
Common in southern and central Finland. Absent from most of Lapland, found in the southern parts of Inari Lapland, and an isolated colony in Paatsjoki area. Typically found on smaller rivers, rivulets and streams. Favours clear waters, but can also be found on eutrophic, slow-flowing small rivers with mud bottom.
Flight period June-August.
