Dark Whiteface

Dark Whiteface Leucorrhinia albifrons

Common in southern and central Finland. Favours cleaner standing waters, such as peatmoss ponds and calm bays, which have floating vegetation, especially lilypads.

Flight period: early June - early August, peaking at early July.

Male. Dark body with blue pruinosity on the base of abdomen and white appendages are only shared with Lilypad Whiteface. Sulka Haro
