Moustached Darter

Moustached Darter Sympetrum vulgatum

Very common in southern Finland and west coast, local and uncommon further inland. Identification difficulties shouldn't be too difficult, when one considers that Sympetrum striolatum is only recorded in Åland and Örö island.

All kinds of standing waters, bays, marshes.

Flight period: July - November
